One week after a car crash that set fire to a home and left her critically injured and in a coma, actress Anne Heche has died at age 53, according to reports. "Today we lost a bright light, a kind and most joyful soul, a loving mother, and a loyal friend," a representative for Heche told PEOPLE Friday (Aug. 12). Speaking to PEOPLE, Heche's son Homer confirmed the news. He shared in a statement:

The cause of death of Glee star Becca Tobin's boyfriend, Matt Bendik, has yet to be determined, even after an autopsy was conducted, a spokesman for the Philadelphia Medical Examiner's Office tells Philly.com. As previously reported, Bendik was found dead in his Philadelphia hotel by a hotel housekeeper on July 10.  The spokesman said in an email to Philly.com the autopsy did not immediately establish a clear cause of the 35-year-old nightclub entrepreneur's death, adding, however, no evidence of trauma was found.
